BEAN Project is an Urban Agriculture initiative Market Garden Training Program covers many aspects of beginning farming, from finding land to use, how to get started with farming and access local resources, as well as how to get started with the business side of the market garden and locate outlets for the gardener’s products.

"Farm School NYC aims to increase the self-reliance of communities and inspire positive local action around issues of food access and social, economic and racial justice by providing comprehensive professional training in urban agriculture for NYC residents.

"This project is designed to assist new and beginning farmers in obtaining access to information, services, technical assistance, funding and business development support for their agricultural enterprises.

"We provide constructive environments and strategies that support new producers and create opportunities for them to strengthen agricultural capacities, share learning experiences, and build better communities.

"New Roots for Refugees is a program started by Catholic Charities in partnership with the Kansas City Center for Urban Agriculture to help refugee women put down those new roots, through helping them to start their own small farm businesses growing and selling vegetables.
