"This program for beginning ranchers combines traditional classroom based education with hands-on applied learning in an outdoor classroom and a mentorship program with successful, established ranchers.

"The Organic and Sustainable Experiential Learning for Beginning Farmers project will provide a new level of experiential education, training and support to increase the adoption of organic and sustainable farming practices, especially among beginning and/or young farmers.

This program houses an ongoing peer support network, culturally appropriate training and technical services, and farm and business incubation facilities.  Participants will learn about markets, globalization, cooperatives, and production.

At the end of this course, participants will have a plan to establish or improve farm enterprises, and have the resources to move forward and be successful.
