Program is an internship.

CCOF is comprised of two organizations: the CCOF Trade Association and the CCOF foundation. CCOF sponsors workshops, field days, and conferences. Six month, non-farm internship program includes organic Certification 101 training and projects in research, event coordination, policy or grant writing.

The Experimental Farm is a 333-acre, certified organic farm. On-farm research. Research publications and educational activities linking healthy people to healthy soil. Sponsors field days, conferences, seminars, workshops, and farm tours. Internships available.

The Pfeiffer Center's one-year internship focuses on organic sustainable agriculture and the biodynamic approach, combining academic work with hands-on field experience.

"BEEFSD was developed to assist beginning farmers and ranchers establish successful production and management strategies for the beef industry. There will be 5 components to the BEEFSD program: 1. Instructional Workshops; 2. Post-Weaning Calf Performance Evaluation; 3. Mentoring; 4. Web-Based Interaction; 5. Travel Studies"

Sponsoring Organization:

The center conducts a five-week Permaculture Certificate Program, a five-week organic gardening program, a one-month Eco-Building course, and reforestation projects. Topics covered include organic food production, natural building, appropriate technology and renewable energy, permaculture, and ecoforestry. Nature center.

"Beginning Farmer Training: A 12 week instructional class will be conducted at four sites across the each multi-county region where recruitment has been conducted. Practicum training: The project will provide a number of 2 to 3 day practicum short courses in the month following the completion of the classroom training sessions.

Nebraska Sustainable Agriculture Society (NSAS) is a non-profit, grass-roots membership organization that promotes sustainable food systems in Nebraska and sponsors an annual Healthy Farms Conference, workshops, farm tours, and field days.
