The Journeyperson Program program provides hands-on, mentored farming opportunities and training for prospective new farmers in Maines who have completed an apprenticeship to further develop the skills they need to farm independently and successfully.

The Farm and Food Education program trains new and existing farmers in all aspects of sustainable agriculture. Whole Farm Workshops include interactive classroom and on-site field training.

Sponsors research, conference, agricultural field days, courses, workshops, lectures, on-farm demonstrations, and Extension activities. Integrated Farming Systems program researches and demonstrates the benefits of diversified agricultural systems.

Urban Agriculture Training and Workshops. Community Food Centers teach sustainable production, processing, marketing, and distribution practices. Hands-on training; farm tours; publications. Internships and youth apprenticeship program. Programs in Milwaukee and Chicago.

Provides information about Washington organic farms, programs and resources. Publishes a quarterly journal and a directory of growers, suppliers, buyers, and resources. Sponsors annual conference, educational farm walks, and an intern placement directory.

Non-profit organization for promoting the ethical development and stewardship of the genetic resources of agricultural seed. Provides technical assistance, educational services, and conducts research and advocacy programs for organic farmers and other seed professionals.
