The Dairy Grazing Apprenticeship Program is a 2-year program established by GrassWorks and the Wisconsin Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards (BAS) with the support from USDA-NIFA's Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program. It is composed of 4000 paid hours of training over two years (the equivalent of a full-time job).

The program "combines two years of structured on-farm training and mentoring with a course of classroom study in biodynamics." Apprentices have access to a "comprehensive training curriculum, carefully selected mentor farms, and access to networking, support, and educational resources."
