This program is to "help beginning and retiring farmers/ranchers enhance success of farm/ranch transfer, business viability and land stewardship. Activities fall into three areas: 1) asset and business transfer, 2) business skills and information access, and 3) statewide network of resource providers and advisors.

"Our Land Here! program helps seekers acquire a farm or farmland. We help beginning and other farmers plan, search for and evaluate agricultural properties. We help recruit farmers and get them onto suitable land with affordable and secure agreements."

The NOFA/RI Organic Farm Advisor Program provides technical guidance to teach farmers how to implement organic methods on their farms. NOFA also conducts growers workshops, offers summer tours of organic farms and gardens, and provides organic certification assistance.

Provides education and outreach to those interested in sustainable agriculture. Operates PASA On-farm research program. Sponsors an annual Farming for the Future conference, seasonal field days and intensive learning programs. Offers marketing opportunities for producers.

The Biodynamic Farming and Gardening Association conducts seminars, conferences, and workshops; provides literature; publishes quarterly membership journal; and supports training programs. Sponsors the Biodynamic Initiative for the Next Generation (BING) and an apprenticeship program.

"New FARM (Farmer Assistance and Resource Management) Program is designed to assist beginning farmers increase economic viability, maintain and enhance environmental stewardship, and conserve Northwest Michigan’s rural character.
