The Association trains farmers how to grow food organically at its annual Sustainable Agriculture Conference, Organic Commodities and Livestock Conferences, and regional workshops. It also hosts farm tours and conducts research on marketing and production of organic crops.

Nebraska Sustainable Agriculture Society (NSAS) is a non-profit, grass-roots membership organization that promotes sustainable food systems in Nebraska and sponsors an annual Healthy Farms Conference, workshops, farm tours, and field days.

Sponsoring Organization:

A statewide, non-profit organization, MIFFS focuses on assisting family farmers, growing market opportunities, supporting agricultural stewardship, and advocacy. MIFFS hosts an annual Michigan Family Farms Conference, workshops on sustainable agriculture, seminars, field days, and skill building workshops.

NESFI promotes small farm development by providing information and training for aspiring, beginning and transitioning farmers. The Institute offers workshops, regional and online resource libraries, sustainable resource management demonstrations, short courses, and business and skill training for farmers.

The 232-acre farm, the Mass Audubon’s only working educational farm, practices organic/sustainable farming that supports native habitat. "Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary teaches environmental conservation using the farm to illustrate principles of sustainable land use.

MOFGA "helps farmers grow organic food, fiber and other crops; protect the environment; recycle natural resources; increase local food production; and support rural communities." MOFGA offers a journeyperson program; farmer-to-farmer conference; Common Ground Education Center; short courses, workshops, and other education and technical services

The Land Institute aims to "develop an agricultural system with the ecological stability of the prairie and a grain yield comparable to that from annual crops." The Institute publishes books and research articles, hosts conferences, and gives public presentations.

PCEI provides environmental education and watershed restoration in Northern Idaho and Eastern Washington. Internships and volunteer positions are available.

The La'akea Community conducts permaculture certification training and classes, hosts conferences and events relating to permaculture, and provides long term residential study and work exchange positions.
